The Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA) will bring the thrills of the sport back to Atlantic City with its War at the Shore power boat races on June 6-8. Members of the public are invited to witness some of the top powerboat racing teams from across the globe compete for high-stakes prize money.

Through a partnership with Visit Atlantic City and Atlantic City resort casinos, the OPA will deliver the most anticipated offshore powerboat race of the year. This event marks the first time the event will relocate to the heart of Atlantic City’s Boardwalk, delivering exposure and excitement for fans and competitors.

“The Atlantic City race has always been a favorite among the racers who prefer a challenge,” said Nick Smith, president of OPA Racing, in a statement shared with Visit Atlantic City. “With North Beach’s help, now we can begin to fund the racers for their participation and add levels of importance to the already daunting task, which is to win the War At The Shore.”

Spectators are invited to view the boats up close and meet the drivers on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, starting at 10 a.m. at the Showboat Water Park on Pacific Avenue.

Sunday, June 8, is Race Day. Guests can catch all the heart-pounding action from the four races, each taking place at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Those looking for the best places to watch the races can view the action from North Beach along the Boardwalk.
