The 14th annual celebration of “Beachstock: The Planet’s Biggest Beach Party” will return to Margate on Saturday, June 28, on the beach between Granville and Huntington avenues. Beach tags will not be required to attend, and the event is open to the public.

According to a Downbeach.cc report, the event, organized annually by the Margate Business Association in partnership with Margate City, attracts over 5,000 visitors.

Beachstock is a daylong celebration of Margate’s attractive seaside community. It features dozens of food vendors, crafters, live entertainment, athletic activities, beverages, a bonfire at twilight, a children’s movie, and environmental exhibits made possible by Sustainable Downbeach.

Attendees will have opportunities to meet the newly crowned Miss New Jersey at her first public appearance in the Downbeach area. A photo opportunity with the Lombardi Trophy, awarded to the Philadelphia Eagles during their Super Bowl LII win over the New England Patriots, will also be available.

Entertainment on the main stage begins at 11:30 a.m. with Sunrise Cries and Mas Tequila Orchestra.  Performers from The Hook will dazzle the audience with family-friendly antics, and the South Pacific Island Dancers will demonstrate traditional dances.

Nikki Briar will deliver her country hits, and the NJ British Invasion headlines the main stage at 8:30 p.m. with music from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and The Who. At 6:30 p.m., kids can enjoy a sunset movie, “Moana 2.”

Complimentary free parking for the event will be offered at the Eugene A. Tighe Middle School parking lot. A free jitney will be available to pick up and drop off riders from the school and along Atlantic Avenue between Coolidge and Fredericksburg avenues.
