The Wildwoods’ beaches are taking top honors once again.

For the second year in a row, The Wildwoods have been recognized as the “Best Beach in New Jersey” in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards Contest 2025.

A panel of experts made nominations for the best beach in the Garden State, but USA TODAY readers ultimately voted Wildwoods’ beaches as No.1.

Known for its free public access, clean environment, and wide expanses of sand, the Wildwoods’ beaches remain a top destination for beachgoers along the Jersey Shore.

Here’s what USA TODAY said about the beach experience at The Wildwoods:

“Featuring the largest stretches of sand on the Jersey Shore (500 yards wide at points), The Wildwoods provide plenty of space for beachgoers to spread out. In fact, they offer a unique beach taxi service that brings visitors from the boardwalk to a spot closer to the ocean to set up their chairs and umbrellas. On the beach, guests can play volleyball, surf, boogie board, or just play in the waves. Surrounded by iconic retro architecture, the legendary Wildwood Boardwalk is a big entertainment hub, offering an electric vibe day and night.”

Other New Jersey beaches appearing in the rankings include the following:

  • No. 2: Ocean City
  • No. 3: Atlantic City
  • No. 4: Cape May
  • No. 5: Sea Isle City
  • No. 6: Long Beach Island
  • No. 7: Asbury Park
  • No. 8: Avalon
  • No. 9: Brigantine Beach
  • No. 10: Avon-by-the-Sea
